Web Designer

We are looking for a responsible, creative and knowledgeable Web Designer to join our team and build easily accessible and well designed website interfaces for our businesses and clients. You will be required to utilise your software engineering and programming skills to plan, develop and improvise on websites. You should be able to understand end user needs and help develop simple and accessible website interfaces. This role requires you to possess great expertise and knowledge in this industry and a thorough understanding of computer hardware and software.

As a web designer, you should demonstrate the ability to produce website interfaces and concepts along with other engineers and content writers. As a creative designer, you will be expected to work closely with our web development department. The main duties and responsibilities for the position of a web designer include:

• Conceptualising and designing responsive landing pages
• Optimising website for high speed and maximum scalability
• Testing and improving website design
• Preparing and designing website structures and plans
• Producing design assets to use in social media and other promotional channels
• Conducting website tests and ensuring web function stability across devices
• Enforcing content standards and maintaining website appearance
• Communicating with web management team using workflows, process flows and wireframes
• Identifying and providing support in communicating and meeting the key deliverables for each project
• Organizing and collating data and analytics to make design decisions

• A person working as a Web Designer earns USD 4,358 per month.
• The exact salary is however dependent on the company, location and nature of the employer’s business

The basic qualifications required to be considered for the position of a Web Designer include:

• Either a Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design, Visual Communication or related field or experience in the industry or both
• Master degree in a similar discipline preferred
• Prior experience as a web developer or any related role will be preferred
• A strong and creative portfolio

A Web Designer needs to possess a variety of skills in order to be successful in the work environment – they include both job related technical skills as well as interpersonal traits.

• Proficient in Adobe Dreamweaver, Photoshop, Illustrator and other visual design tools
